(Oral) By filing the instant revision-petition under Article 227 of the Constitution of India, the petitioner-wife has sought the indulgence of this Court for the issuance of direction to learned Principal Judge, Family Court, Sangrur (for short 'the Family Court') to decide the Divorce Petition bearing HMA No.377 of 2019 titled as 'Suman Sharma Vs. Rishu Sharma', as preferred by her for seeking the dissolution of her marriage with the respondent-husband and also the application moved there-with under Section 24 of the Hindu Marriage Act, 1955 (for short 'the Act of 1955') with the prayer for grant of the interim maintenance allowance, while averring that she had filed the above-said Divorce Petition and the application on 20.07.2019 but the same have not yet been decided.

Keeping in view the fact that the afore-mentioned Divorce Petition and the application are pending adjudication for the last almost four NEETU RANI 2024.04.26 15:36 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this order/judgment PHHC, CHD

(04) years as well as the provisions contained in Section 21-B of the Act of 1955 and without commenting or expressing any opinion on the merits of the above-referred Divorce Petition and the application, the revision-petition in hand is, hereby, disposed of with a direction to the concerned Family Court to expedite the proceedings in the afore-said Divorce Petition as well as the application, pending before it and to decide the same, in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible.
