Challenge in this petition is to the order dated 08.09.2007 (Annexure P-1) freezing the property of the petitioner under Section 68F of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985, which was founded upon conviction of the petitioner for the offences under the NDPS Act. 2.
Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that vide judgment dated 22.02.2008 passed in Criminal Appeal No. CRA-D-640-DB of 2006, the petitioner has since been acquitted by this Court while exercising Appellate jurisdiction.

The petition is, therefore, disposed of by directing respondent No.2 to consider the matter by taking into account subsequent development of acquittal and thereafter pass appropriate speaking orders. The interim order passed on 19.03.2025 shall continue but shall always be subject to the outcome after consideration by the competent authority.
