*** Learned counsel for the petitioner states that he be allowed to withdraw the petition, though he has prayed that a direction be issued to the trial Court for expeditious trial. Expeditious trial is right of every litigant. Therefore, the petition is dismissed as withdrawn. However, a direction is issued to the trial Court to expedite the trial preferably within six months from the date of receipt of this order.
Learned State counsel has been directed to ensure that the prosecution witnesses are produced in the trial Court on the dates so fixed by the trial Court.
