(ORAL) In compliance of order dated 24.02.2020, learned counsel for the petitioners has produced receipt of `20,000/-. The same is taken on record. Registry is directed to verify the deposit of costs by the petitioners with the concerned quarter.

Prayer in the instant petition under Section 482 Cr.P.C. has been made for quashing FIR No.181 dated 22.07.2017 registered under Sections 452, 323, 324, 34 IPC at Police Station Kotwali Kapurthala, District Kapurthala, and all consequential proceedings arising therefrom, on the basis of compromise (Annexure P-3) arrived at between the parties. Pursuant to order dated 01.04.2019 of this Court, the parties appeared before learned Judicial Magistrate Ist Class, Kapurthala, on 01.05.2019 to get their statements recorded. Learned Judicial Magistrate Ist Class, Kapurthala, has submitted her report vide letter bearing No.1441 RAVINDER SINGH 2020.03.17 11:35 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

-2CRM-M-14731 of 2019 dated 10.05.2019 duly forwarded by learned District and Sessions Judge, Kapurthala, vide Endst. No.860 dated 14.05.2019. According to the above report, compromise arrived at between the parties is without any undue influence, coercion and threat. No accused has been declared absconding/proclaimed offender. Therefore, in view of above and the fact that the compromise will bring peace and harmony between the parties, FIR No.181 dated 22.07.2017 registered under Sections 452, 323, 324, 34 IPC at Police Station Kotwali Kapurthala, District Kapurthala, and all subsequent proceedings arising therefrom, are quashed qua petitioners only. Disposed of accordingly.
