. 8 Petition herein is, inter alia, seeking a writ in the nature of Mandamus, directing official respondents to decide the petitioners' legal notice dated 04.02.2026 (Annexure P-3), in a time bound manner. 2.

Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that as regards the relief claimed in the present writ petition, the petitioners have served a legal notice dated 04.02.2026 (Annexure P-3), but the same has not been adverted to by the concerned authorities, till date. He submits that petitioners would be satisfied, if time bound directions are issued to respondent No.1 - Secretary, Regional Transport Authority, Jalandhar/competent Authority to decide aforesaid legal notice dated 04.02.2026 (Annexure P-3). 3.

At this stage, Mr. Harpreet Singh, AAG, Punjab, appears on behalf of the respondent-State, in pursuance of the advance copy of paper book having already been supplied to him, and submits that respondent No.1 - Secretary, Regional Transport Authority, Jalandhar/competent Authority ANKIT 2026.03.17 14:20 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document High Court, Chandigarh

  

  shall take decision either way, on the pending legal notice dated 04.02.2026 (Annexure P-3), within a period of two months from today. 4.

Keeping in view the above and without commenting on the merits of the case, the present writ petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.1 - Secretary, Regional Transport Authority, Jalandhar/competent Authority, to consider and decide the aforesaid legal notice dated 04.02.2026 (Annexure P-3), in accordance with law, by way of passing a speaking order within a period of two months from today, after affording due opportunity of hearing to all concerned parties. 5.
