**** NIDHI GUPTA, J. (Oral) Prayer in the present 1st petition under Section 482 Cr.P.C. is for issuance of direction to conduct the fair inquiry & file status report from some senior IPS officer on the application dated 12.11.2022 filed by the petitioner for causing death by poisoning her daughter Mahinder Kaur who was mother of 3 minor children from respondent No.4 (Kulwinder Singh) having illicit affair with respondent No.8 i.e. Seema Rani. On the last date of hearing i.e. on 09.09.2024, following order was passed:- "Prayer in this petition is for issuing direction to conduct the fair inquiry and file status report from some senior IPS Officer on the application dated 12.11.2022 filed by the petitioner qua causing death by poisoning her daughter Mahinder Kaur, who was mother of three minor children from respondent No.

4 (Kulwinder Singh) having illicit affair with respondent No.8 i.e. Seema Rani. Learned counsel for the State, on instructions from ASI Davinder Pal, informs this Court that after due investigation, challan has been presented against respondent DIVYANSHI 2024.11.

CRM-M-16488-2023 -2 - No.4-Kulwinder Singh on 22.3.2024; charges have been framed on 03.4.2024; and the matter is now fixed for adducing prosecution evidence on 07.10.2024.

Since there is no representation on behalf of petitioner, in the interest of justice, adjourned to 05.11.2024. Learned State counsel is directed to file the latest detailed status report in the matter in the meanwhile." In compliance of the above said order, learned counsel for the State files Status Report dated 04.11.2024 by way of an affidavit of the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Sub-Division Bholath, District Kapurthala on behalf of respondents No.1 to 3 in Court today, which is taken on record.

Learned counsel for the State reiterates the submissions made on the last date of hearing, as reproduced above. On the last date of hearing i.e. on 09.09.2024, none had appeared on behalf of the petitioner. Even today, none appears on behalf of the petitioner.

In view of the submissions made by learned counsel for the State as duly reflected in the above said status report, present petition stands disposed of as having been rendered infructuous.
