Prayer made in the present petition filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C. is for issuance of direction to respondent No.2 to take appropriate action on the complaint dated 28.10.2022, Annexure P2, submitted by the petitioners for holding enquiry by the Vigilance Department, Punjab. 2.

Learned State counsel refers to para 2 of the reply filed by way of affidavit of Joint Director (Complaint Cell), Vigilance Bureau, dated 05.11.2024, which reads thus:- "That it is respectfully submitted that from the perusal of the record related with the instant matter it has transpired that Sunita Rani w/o Late Sh. Ramesh Kumar, Mantina Singla daughter of Late Sh. Ramesh Kumar and Nav Singla son of Late Sh. Ramesh Kumar all R/o H. No.97, Ward No.9, New Ward No.12, Near Mata Rani Mandir, Kurali, District SAS Nagar (Mohali) had filed a complaint dated 06.08.2021 before the Chief Director, Vigilance Bureau, Punjab, Chandigarh.

The complaint committee of Vigilance Bureau, Punjab, which primarily has been formed to scrutinize each and every complaint received in Vigilance Bureau, Punjab, had perused the subject of the instant complaint filed by the present Petitioner(s) and the complaint committee of Vigilance Bureau, Punjab had assigned Complaint No.205/2022 dated 13.08.21 Mohali against (i) Charanjit Singh s/o Jagat Singh (ii) Harinder Singh s/o Piyara Singh and others. The complaint committed of Vigilance Bureau, Punjab had reached at the conclusion after due consideration of the instant complaint that the instant matter is related with the Local Police. Henceforth, the instant complaint was forwarded to the Office of Director General of Police, Punjab, Chandigarh, for further necessary action at their own level vide Letter No.23622/VB/AS-5 dated 11.07.2022.

It has also been mentioned in the aforesaid letters that the Vigilance Bureau, Punjab has not initiated any proceedings ASHOK KUMAR 2026.04.

CRM-M-17593-2023 (O&M) -2with regard to the instant complaint. True translated copy letter No.23622/VB/AS-5 dated 11.07.2022 is annexed herewith as Annexure R-1/T. Apart from this, another complaint from same complainants with same allegations was received in this office on 28.10.2022 and was attached with previous complaint as it was already considered by complaint committee."
