**** HARNARESH SINGH GILL , J. (ORAL) Case is being taken up for hearing through video conferencing. This is a petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a direction to the official respondents to protect the life and liberty of the petitioners at the hands of respondents No. 4 to 7. Copy of the status report by way of short affidavit of Deputy Superintendent of Police, Sub Division Sri Hargobindpur, Police District Batala, District Gurdaspur has been filed which is taken on record. As per the status report, in compliance of the order dated 12.6.2020, SHO, Police Station Quadian got recorded the statements of respondents No. 4 to 7 i.e. Sawinder Singh, Rajwinder Kaur, Ranjodh Singh and Ranjit Kaur.

It has been stated that Simranjit Kaur had solemnized marriage with Baljinder Singh with her own wish and the private respondents do not have any grudge against the petitioners and do not want to proceed further in the FIR. GURPREET SINGH 2020.07.
