This matter is being taken up for hearing through video conferencing due to outbreak of the pandemic, COVID-19. Prayer in this writ petition is for a direction to the respondents to effect change in the name of the petitioner from Vinod Bala to Pooja Sharma in Sports Certificates issued by the respondents to the petitioner for
CWP No.9572 of 2021 -2participation and achieving position(s) in Table Tennis tournaments/events, besides, issuance of Sports Gradation certificate with the changed name, pursuant to judgment and decree dated 18.04.2014 passed by the learned Civil Judge (Junior Division), Bhiwani.
Mr. Ashish Yadav, learned counsel for the State and Mr. Vishal Aggarwal, Advocate representing respondent No.3 to whom advance copy of the writ petition has been supplied, submit that certificate dated 11.06.2021 has been issued by the Sports Authority of India certifying that name of the petitioner has been changed from 'Vinod Bala' to 'Pooja Verma' in three of the certificates mentioned therein.
Mr. Yadav submits that Sports Gradation Certificate has been issued to the petitioner mentioning her name to be 'Pooja Verma'. Copy of the certificate 11.06.2021 and Sports Gradation certificate dated 08.07.2021 have been circulated in the WhatsApp group created for the purpose of Video Conferencing. Print out of the same be taken and attached with the file. Learned counsel for the petitioner, however, submits that necessary action has not been taken qua change of petitioner's name in some of the certificates issued by the State of Haryana. Mr. Yadav, fairly submits that in case any such certification has somehow been left out, necessary action shall be taken immediately, in case a list of such certificates alongwith copies thereof are supplied to the authorities. Keeping in view the facts and circumstances as above, this writ petition is rendered infructuous.
Disposed of accordingly.
Needless to say, in case a list of certificates alongwith copies thereof issued to the petitioner by the State of Haryana are submitted before the
CWP No.9572 of 2021 -3authority/authorities within fifteen days from today, necessary action for certifying change of name of the petitioner from 'Vinod Bala' to 'Pooja Verma' be carried out within three weeks thereafter.
