Prayer in this writ petition filed under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India, is for issuance of a writ in the nature of certiorari, for quashing the impugned order dated 01.02.2018 (Annexure P-4), order dated 01.10.2020 (Annexure P-6), order dated 26.03.2021 (Annexure P-12) and order dated 15.04.2021 (Annexure P13) vide which the respondent No.3, respondents No.4 to 5 and respondents No.7 to 8 respectively have been promoted to the post of Chief Sanitary Inspector. Further prayer has been made to quash the impugned order dated 18.03.2021 (Annexure P-11) passed by the respondent No.1. Further a writ of mandamus has been sought, directing the respondents No.1 and 2 to consider the case of petitioners and promote the petitioners to the post of Chief Sanitary Inspector MOHD YAKUB 2026.05.25 10:20 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document Punjab & Haryana High Court, Chandigarh.
CWP-9315-2021 (O&M) -2along with all the consequential benefits. Another prayer has been made to restrain respondents No.1 and 2 from promoting the respondent No.6 to the post of Chief Sanitary Inspector or Sanitary Officer as well as other junior to the petitioners.

The promotion order dated 20.01.2022 produced by learned counsel for respondents No.3, 4 and 6 to 8 is taken on record as 'Mark X'. The Registry is directed to tag the same at appropriate place. 3.
Learned counsel for respondents No.3, 4 and 6 to 8 submits that the grievance raised by the petitioner in the present petition has already been redressed as the petitioners were promoted vide order dated 20.01.2022.

In view of the above, the present petition is disposed of. However, liberty is granted to the petitioners to revive the instant writ petition in case anything survives.

Pending miscellaneous application, if any, also stands disposed of.
