ARVIND SINGH SANGWAN J. (Oral) Prayer in this petition is for quashing of FIR No.228 dated 04.12.2014 registered under Sections 406 and 420 IPC at Police Station Division No.1, Jalandhar Distict Jalandhar and all other consequential proceedings arising therefrom on the basis of the compromise. Vide order dated 03.08.2017, the parties were directed to appear before the trial Court for recording their statements on 09.08.2017. Thereafter, the time granted to the parties was extended vide order dated 31.10.2017 and they were directed to appear before the trial Court on 13.11.2017 for recording of their statements with regard to the compromise.

The trial Court has submitted a report dated 19.03.2018 that the complainant has not come present till date for recording her statement despite issuance of various notices. In view of the above, this petition is disposed of having been rendered infructuous. However, it will be open for the petitioner to file afresh petition, in case the respondent/complainant still acknowledges the compromise.
