(ORAL) This petition has been filed by the petitioner under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure seeking quashing of FIR No. 12 dated 28.01.2013 under Sections 406, 498-A IPC registered at Police Station Passiana, District Patiala (Annexure P-2) and all subsequent proceedings arising therefrom.

It is contended by learned counsel for the petitioner that the trial is taking inordinate time to be concluded and in fact the prosecution evidence commenced as far back as 03.12.2014 and as on date the prosecution has yet not completed its evidence. When this Court was not inclined to grant the relief, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that at the present moment he would be satisfied if the trial Court, which is seized of the matter and taken ample time to conclude its evidence as would be evident from the listing details of the case, be directed to conclude the trial in a time bound manner. A perusal of the history of the case hearing reflects that prosecution evidence commenced on 03.12.2014 and since then the case has been listed 43 times for prosecution's evidence.
