Ms. HK Athwal, DAG, Punjab M.M.S.BEDI,J.
This order will dispose of two petitions for regular bail, one filed by Satvir Singh & Satbir Singh (CRM M 28204 of 2015) and the second filed by Rinku (CRM M 38461 of 2015). The petitioners have been in custody since 24.2.2015. Period of about one year has elapsed. The FIR was registered at the instance of Gurpreet Singh alleging that on 19.2.2015, the petitioners had robbed him of his wallet containing Rs.25000/30000/- along with a scooter. The petitions have been opposed inter alia on the ground that the petitioners are involved in other cases.
Counsel for the petitioners submit that the petitioners are on bail in all the cases. So far as the present case is concerned, the complainant has not appeared as a witness and is adopting an evasive approach.
Taking into consideration the nature of the allegations and period of detention suffered by the petitioners, both the petitions are allowed and the petitioners are ordered to be released on bail on their furnishing bail bonds/ surety bonds to the satisfaction of the trial court.
