The petitioners through instant petition under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India are seeking direction to respondents No. 2 and 3 to issue passport to petitioner No. 2.

Mr. Yash Pal Sharma, Central Government Counsel for Union of India, at the outset, submits that application of petitioner No. 2 has already been closed. As per his instructions, if petitioners file fresh application, the passport authority would guide them how to comply with mandate and formalities of the Passport Act, 1967 and Rules made thereunder.

In the wake of statement of counsel for Union of India, counsel for the petitioners states that the present may be disposed of as not pressed. 4.
