RAMENDRA JAIN, J. (ORAL) Through instant petition under Section 482 Cr.P.C. prayer has been made for issuance of direction to official respondents to protect the life and liberty of the petitioners at the hands of respondents No. 4 and 5.

Learned State counsel filing short reply in the shape of affidavit of Sh. Gurdeep Singh, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Jagraon, District Ludhiana (Rural), submits that petitioner No. 1-Jarnail Singh has suffered a statement before the police that they did not require any protection.
