*** Sudhir Mittal, J. (Oral) The petitioner had sought information regarding the functioning of respondent No.4 as Sarpanch under the Right to Information Act, 2005. On receipt of the information, it allegedly came to light that respondent No.4 had embezzled funds during his tenure and, thus, representations were made to respondents No. 2 and 3 but no action has been taken till date. The final representation is dated 05.02.2021 (Annexure P-3) addressed to respondent No.3. It is, thus, prayed that a direction be issued to the said respondent to decide the pending complaint by passing a speaking order.

Notice of motion to respondents No. 1 to 3 only. Ms. Devaki Anand Sullar, AAG, Punjab, accepts notice on behalf of the respondents and waives service.

Considering the nature of order being passed, no reply is necessary to be filed.

The writ petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.3 to consider the complaint dated 05.02.2021 (Annexure P-3) objectively and to decide POONAM RATHORE 2022.04.28 16:26 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document
