HARPREET SINGH BRAR J. (Oral) Prayer in this criminal writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, is for issuance of a writ in the nature of Habeas Corpus, to direct respondents No.1 to 3 to search the minor detenue namely Alka, daughter of the petitioner, at the premises of respondents No.4 to 6 and to restore her custody to her lawful guardians by recovering her from the illegal custody of respondents No.4 to 6. Learned State counsel, at the very outset, submits that nothing survives in the present petition as the same has been rendered infructuous and refers to Para 4 of the status report dated 12.10.2024 and submits that the alleged detenue was produced before the jurisdictional Magistrate and her statement under Section 164 Cr.P.C., was recorded and she has shown her inclination to go with the family of MOHD YAKUB 2025.02.05 18:49 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document Punjab & Haryana High Court at Chandigarh

CRWP-2903-2024 (O&M) her in-laws and further as per the direction issued by this Court on 05.04.2024, the alleged detenue was handed over to her in-laws family vide General Diary No.39 dated 05.04.2024.

In view of the above, learned counsel for the petitioner wishes to withdraw the present petition.

Dismissed as withdrawn.
