Petitioner has filed this petition under Section 438 Cr.P.C. for grant of anticipatory bail in FIR No.124 dated 11.06.2015 under Sections 420, 465, 467, 468, 471 and 120-B IPC, registered at Police Station Jagraon, District Ludhiana.

I have heard learned counsel for the petitioner and have gone through the record.

Learned counsel for the petitioner mainly argued that case is based on documentary evidence and mother of the accused namely Harjinder Kaur has no objection to the forgery committed on the sale deed. The brief facts of the case are that FIR in the present case has been got registered by one Gursewak Singh, who stated that that earlier accused had taken the jamabandis of the land owned by his father, regarding which another FIR has been got registered. CRM No.M-28358 of 2015 -2stated in the FIR that the property is owned by Harjinder Kaur wife of Gurnam Singh. Harpreet Singh by committing fraud and forgery, changed the name of the owner of above-said land by showing himself as owner and then applied for arm licence in the name of his wife by forging the documents.

Keeping in view the facts of the case, nature and gravity of the offence, the allegations levelled against the petitioner and in view of the fact that petitioner is required for custodial interrogation, I do not find it a fit case where petitioner is entitled to benefit of grant of anticipatory bail. Therefore, finding no merit in the present petition, the same is dismissed.
