This petition has been filed for issuance of direction to the official respondents to consider the case of the petitioner for issuance of Police Clearance Certificate/Character Certificate after removal of his name from the cross case registered vide Rapat No.29 dated 19.09.2021. 2.

Status report on behalf of respondent-State has been filed by learned State counsel. Same is taken on record. Copy thereof has been furnished to the learned counsel for the petitioner. 3.

Learned counsel for the petitioner refers to para 6 and 7 of the status report which reads thus:- "6. That it is pertinent to mention here that as per the statement of Ranjit Singh son of Wassan Singh resident of Tibri, a cross case under section 323/324/506/148/149 IPC was registered against Avtar Singh son of Nazar Singh, Manna @ Manpreet Singh (Petitioner), Ranjit Singh son of Avtar Singh, Happy son of Santokh Singh, Amritpal Singh son of Joginder Singh, Gurdial Singh son of Baldev Singh, Jasbir Singh son of Nazar Singh, Barunpreet Singh son of Jasbir Singh, Santokh Singh son of Nazar Singh all resident of Village Tibri vide G.D. No. 29 dated 19.09.2021. During the investigation of the then SHO Police Station Tibber, the petitioner, Amrinder ASHOK KUMAR 2023.07.27 11:21 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

CRM-M-17620-2022 Singh @ Happy, Amritpal Singh, Barunpreet Singh were found to be innocent in this case vide G.D. No. 24 dated 12.12.2022. After the investigation, the Challan in cross case was presented in the Ld. Court on 09.03.2023. Now the case is fixed for 13.07.2023 for prosecution evidence.

7. That it is humbly submitted that the petitioner had filed a Police Clearance Certificate. The local police not recommended the Police Clearance Certificate due to the above said case is pending in the Ld. Court." 4.

In view of the above, learned State counsel submits that the issue regards issuance of police clearance to the petitioner shall be considered and necessary action will be taken within two weeks. 5.

This satisfies learned counsel for the petitioner who prays for withdrawal of the present petition, at this stage. 6.

Ordered accordingly.
