Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that despite recording FIR No.92 on 29.12.2016, the police of Police Station Smalsar, District Moga, has not completed the investigation or presented the final report so far. He submits that direction be issued to respondent No.2-Senior Superintendent of Police, Moga to do the needful at the earliest. In view of submission of learned counsel for the petitioner but without expressing any opinion on merits, this petition is disposed of with direction to respondent No.2-Senior Superintendent of Police, Moga to look into the submission put forth by the petitioner and take appropriate action in accordance with law and dispose of the representation (Annexure P-3) expeditiously, preferably within four months on receipt of copy of this order.

However, it is made clear that the above order will not be interpreted as providing protection to the petitioner from any legal action taken in any civil, criminal or any other proceedings initiated/pending against him in accordance with law.
