1. The petitioner has approached this Court seeking issuance of a direction to respondents to allot District Jhajjar to the petitioner instead of District Panipat where he is posted pursuant to his selection as JBT/PRT (Primary Teachers) in State of Haryana.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner would contend that in the advertisement itself, it was mentioned that the appointments would be made district-wise and a district-wise cadre would be maintained and that the districts would be allocated to the successful candidates on the basis of their merit in accordance with their choice. Each of the candidates was required to mention his six preferences in the application form.

3. The learned counsel contends that although he had filled in District Jhajjar as his first preference in his application form but the said district has not been allotted to him whereas another successful candidate who was ranked KAMAL KUMAR 2020.06.16 17:01 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

CWP No.8101-2020 (O&M) lower in merit than the petitioner namely Sangeeta, whose merit number was 2358-A, has been allotted District Jhajjar.

4. It has been submitted that although he made a representation dated 18.2.2020 (Annexure P-5) to the Director Elementary Education, Haryana but no order has been passed thereupon. It has further been submitted that some other candidates who had not been allotted the districts of their choice, despite being higher in merit, had approached this Court by way of filing CWP No.31823 of 2019 wherein this Court has directed respondent No. 2 to pass a speaking order on the representation filed by them.

Having heard the learned counsel for the petitioner, the petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No. 2-Director, Elementary Education, Haryana to look into the matter and to dispose of the representation dated 18.2.2020 (Annexure P-5) in accordance with law by way of passing a speaking order expeditiously, preferably within a period of two months from today.
