Notice to the complainant Kewal Singh has been received back duly served as reported by Registry, but there is no representation on his behalf.

Prayer in this petition is for grant of anticipatory bail in case FIR No.64 dated 08.05.2022 registered at PS Moonak, District Sangrur, Punjab under Sections 420 & 120-B IPC.

FIR was lodged on the complaint of Kewal Singh, as per which he has been duped of 3 lakh by petitioner Ram Krishan, his son Aman Kumar and one Vikas Sharma on the pretext of arranging a government job for his son.

It is contended by learned counsel that petitioner did not receive any amount; and that no element of Section 420 IPC is attributed to him; and that he is ready to join investigation.

CRM-M-16695-2023 2023:PHHC: 096177 Opposing the bail petition, learned State counsel drawn attention towards the status report, as per which petitioner along with his son Aman Kumar had approached the complainant and had assured to return the duped amount of 3 lakh. However, the said amount was never returned. Learned State counsel submits that petitioner and his son had even handed over a joining letter dated 06.04.2021 to the complainant, which was found to be fake.

Having regard to the specific allegations against the petitioner, who was working in conspiracy with his son, no case for grant of anticipatory bail is made out, as his custodial interrogation may be required for further investigation in the matter.

Dismissed.
