This is fourth application for grant of regular bail to the petitioner pending trial in FIR No. 220 dated 23.12.2016, registered under Section 22 of the Narcotic Drugs & Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985 at Police Station City, Phagwara, District Kapurthala. The third application, filed for grant of regular bail to the petitioner, was disposed of by this Court on 19.12.2019 after noticing that trial of the case has already made substantial progress. Learned State counsel has pointed out that trial of the case has made substantial progress and the prosecution has already got recorded evidence of majority of prosecution witnesses. He further pointed out that cross-examination of one prosecution witness apart from examination of the Station House Officer as a prosecution witness are pending.
