(ORAL) Petitioners herein seek issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus directing the official respondents to step up the pay of the petitioners at par with their junior i.e. respondent No.5 and to grant all consequential benefits thereof. In the circumstances, they caused issuance of a legal notice dated 22.01.2020 (Annexure P-8), but the same has not been adverted till date by the respondents. Hence this petition. 2.

Notice of motion.

Ms. Anu Pal DAG, Punjab, who has joined proceedings, on service of advance copy of petition, accepts notice on behalf of State of Punjab.

Given the nature of order being passed, there is no necessity to seek return by any of the respondents as no further proceedings and/or pleadings are required.
