Mr. Abnash Singh, Advocate for the petitioner. HARINDER SINGH SIDHU, J Prayer is for issuing directions to respondent Nos.2 & 3 to transfer the case relating to MLR dated 07.2.2019 (P.1) from respondent Nos.4 to 6 to any other investigating Officer and take appropriate action against respondent No.7.
It is the case of the petitioner that on 07.2.2019, he went to the Grain Market of Zirakpur in order to collect payments from the debtors where he was assaulted by respondent No.7 along with other unidentified persons, who snatched away the money carried by him. It is alleged that he sustained injuries vide MLR (P.1) and remained admitted in Government Hospital, Dera Bassi. Despite the statement of the petitioner having been recorded qua the alleged offence, no proceedings have been initiated. The petitioner is now receiving constant threats from respondent No.7 to compromise the matter. In this regard, the petitioner has submitted a representation dated 03.03.2019 (P.5) to the Sr. Superintendent of Policerespondent No.2, however, no action thereon has been taken.
