Prayer in the present petition filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C. is for directing respondents No. 1 to 4 to take appropriate action on the representation/complaint of the petitioners, dated 29.02.2024 (Annexure P-1) in according with law and to decide the same in a time bound manner, in view of the law laid down by Hon'ble the Supreme Court in Lalita Kumari vs. Government of U.P. and others [2013 (4) R.C.R (Criminal 979)], Shailesh Kumar vs. State of U.P. (Now State of Uttarakhand) 2024 (2) RCR (Criminal) 82.

Learned counsel for the State has submitted that the representation of the petitioner dated 29.02.2024 (Annexure P-1) would be enquired into and proper action, if required, will be taken within a period of 04 weeks from today. In this regard, a letter by the Deputy Superintendent of Police, City-2, Patiala, addressed to the Advocate General, Punjab, is also submitted.
