The prayer in the present petition filed under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India is for issuance of a writ in the nature of Mandamus for issuance of directions to respondent Nos.1 to 4 to provide an armed guard to the petitioner and his family members. 2.

None has appeared on behalf of the petitioner. 3.

The learned State counsel submits that the petitioner was initially granted protection. However, on reassessment of the same, it has been found that the petitioner does not require any police protection. Still, patrolling is going on in the neighborhood of the petitioner. 4.

In view of the above, no further orders are required to be passed by this Court.
