The present petition has been filed under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India seeking issuance of direction to respondents No.1 and 2 to protect the life and liberty of the petitioner at the hands of respondents No.3 to 7.

Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that for redressal of his grievance, the petitioners have filed a representations dated 14.01.2026 and 13.02.2026 (Annexure P-19 and P-20, respectively) before respondents No.4 and 2, respectively, however, no action has been taken thereon till date. 3.

Notice of motion.

Mr. H.S.Wadhwa, DAG Punjab, accepts notice on behalf of the respondent-State.

After hearing learned counsel for the parties, the present petition is disposed of with direction to respondent No. 2 to decide the representations dated 14.01.2026 and 13.02.2026 (Annexure P-19 and P-20, TRIPTI SAINI 2026.03.20 17:32 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

CRWP-2858-2026 (O&M) -2respectively) qua the threat perception filed by the petitioners in accordance with law as expeditiously as possible preferably within a period of two weeks and to grant immediate protection, if any threat to the life and liberty to the petitioners, is perceived. It is being clarified that this order shall not be taken to grant immunity to the petitioners for legal action for violation of law, if any, committed by them.
