Petitioner has filed this second petition under Section 439 Cr.P.C. for grant of regular bail in case FIR No.354 dated 02.10.2015 under Section 392 IPC (Section 379-B IPC and Section 25 of the Arms Act added later on), registered at Police Station A Division, Amritsar, District Amritsar.

Mr.Gaurav Garg Dhuriwala, Sr.DAG, Punjab, has put in appearance on behalf of the respondent-State and contested the petition. I have heard learned counsel for the petitioner as well as learned State counsel and have gone through the record. As per the prosecution version, two clean shaven young persons, at about 8.00 p.m., pushed the complainant from his bicycle and on Vineet Gulati 2017.08.18 16:35 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document Chandigarh gun-point, took way the single barrel gun of the complainant. The gun has
CRM No.M-28708 of 2017 -2been recovered from the present petitioner. There are four other FIRs against the present petitioner.
Keeping in view the facts and circumstances of the present case, nature and gravity of the offence, I do not find it a fit case where petitioner is entitled to benefit of regular bail. Otherwise also, there is every chance that the petitioner may tamper with the evidence if he is released on bail.
Therefore, finding no merit in the present petition, the same is dismissed.
However, as the petitioner is stated to have been in custody since 01.09.2016, therefore, the trial Court is directed to expedite the trial.
