Seeking quashing of FIR No.40 dated 20.11.2023 registered under Sections 7, 7A of PC Act and 120B IPC at Police Station Vigilance Bureau, District Patiala, petitioner has come up before this Court by filing the present petition under Section 482 CrPC.

Counsel for the State opposes the present petition. 3.

After arguing for some time and facing the strict opposition from the State, petitioner's counsel seeks withdrawal of the present petition with liberty to file fresh in case prosecution is launched against him. 4.

Given above, petition is disposed of as withdrawn with liberty as prayed for. It is clarified that since there is no adjudication on merits, as such, the contents of the petition shall not be read in evidence against the petitioner. It is further clarified that in case, petitioner files a fresh petition, then filing and withdrawal of the present petition shall not come in his way. Pending applications, if any, stand disposed of.
