Prayer in the present writ petition is for issuance of directions to respondents to release the amount of compensation along with interest to petitioners with respect to the acquisition of their land. 2.

Upon advance notice, Mr. Athar Ahmed, DAG, Punjab representing respondents No.4-7 on instructions from Mr. Vikas Hira, SDM, Jallandhar-1-cum-LAC submits that amount of compensation payable to the petitioners shall be released in their favour within a period of 7 days from today.

In view of the above, the present writ petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.6 to release the amount of compensation in favour of petitioners within 7 days from today. Needless to mention here, that petitioners shall also be at liberty to avail their remedies in accordance with law for the purpose of enhancement of compensation. 4.

Disposed of in the aforesaid terms.
