(Oral) The present petition under Section 438 Cr.P.C. is for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner in FIR No. 27 dated 20.02.2021 under Sections 21 and 22 of the Narcotic Drugs & Psychotropic Substances Act, (Act 61 of 1985) registered at Police Station City-I Malerkotla, District Sangrur.

Learned counsel seeks to withdraw the instant petition. It has, however, been submitted that the petitioner shall appear and surrender within one week before the court below which may be directed to decide his bail application in a time bound manner.

In view of the specific stand taken by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this petition is dismissed as withdrawn.
