The petition in hand has been preferred under Section 528 of Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023, with the following substantive prayer(s):- 'It is, therefore, respectfully prayed that present petition may kindly be allowed and the respondent no. 1 to 3 may kindly be directed to take appropriate legal action against the private respondents as they have inflicted multiple injuries to the petitioners on vital parts of the body, in view of the law settled by the Hon'ble Apex Court in case "Lalita Kumari Vs. Government of U.P. & others reported as 2014(1) SCC (Crl.) 525" who have misused and abused their public posts and powers in active connivance of private respondents no. 4 to 9, in the interest of justice and It is further prayed that respondents no.2 to 3 may kindly be directed to decide the Representation dated (Annexure P-9), in accordance with the law, in the interest of justice'

Learned counsel for the petitioners after arguing for sometime has limited his prayer by stating that he would be satisfied, for the nonce, if a direction is issued to respondent No2-Senior Superintendent of Police, ASHWANI KUMAR 2026.03.20 10:46 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

CRM-M No.14866 of 2026 -2District Tarn Taran to consider and take a conscious decision on the representation dated 26.2.2026 made by the petitioners (copy whereof has been annexed as Annexure P-9 with the petition in hand) in a time-bound manner.

Learned State counsel has urged that he has no objection in case limited prayer made by the petitioners, for decision of his representation dated 26.2.2026 (Annexure P-9), is directed for. 4.

Having heard learned counsel for the rival party(s) and upon perusal of the paper-book, this Court deems it appropriate to dispose of the petition in hand with the following directions: (i) Senior Superintendent of Police, District Tarn Taran is mandated to look into the representation dated 26.2.2026 (Annexure P-9) moved by the petitioners, objectively consider the grievance(s) raised therein & take ratiocinated decision thereupon within a period of 15 days from today. Said decision be conveyed to the petitioner within 7 days thereafter.

(ii) No order as to costs.
