MANJARI NEHRU KAUL , J. (ORAL) The petitioner is seeking issuance of directions to the official respondents to take legal action on his complaint/representation dated 05.03.2025 (Annexure P-1).

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the son of the petitioner has been missing since February end; a representation and a complaint in the said regard was also made to the official respondents with specific suspicion being raised against the private respondents, however, it had been in vain. In support, learned counsel has drawn the attention of this Court to Annexure P-1. It has been contended that since the official respondents have failed to initiate any steps in accordance with law against the private respondents, appropriate directions be issued to them to proceed against the private respondents in accordance with law.

In the wake of the limited prayer of the petitioners, the instant petition is disposed of and Senior Superintendent of Police, Kapurthala, is directed to look into the grievance of the petitioner and take appropriate steps, if any required, under the provisions of law. However, if the said authority does not find any substance in the allegations levelled in the representation dated 05.03.2025 (Annexure P-1), then the petitioner shall be duly informed as per the parameters laid down by the Supreme Court in Lalita Kumari Versus Government of Uttar Pradesh & Ors. 2013 (4) RCR (Criminal) 979.
