MANJARI NEHRU KAUL, J. (Oral) The present petition under Section 438 Cr.P.C. is for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner in FIR No. 409 dated 28.09.2020 under Sections 302, 148, 149 and 120B IPC and Sections 459, 325, 323, 506 IPC added later on, registered at Police Station City Barnala, District Barnala. Learned counsel submits that the petitioner was not named in the FIR in question and during investigation he was placed in column No.2 by the investigating agency.

A perusal of the FIR in question reveals that not only has the petitioner been named in the FIR in question which was registered soon after the occurrence but a specific role too has been attributed to him of JAWALA RAM 2021.05.17 15:23 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document Chandigarh having inflicted injuries with a base ball on the person of the deceased.

CRM-M-18658-2021 [ 2 ] Prima facie there are serious allegations against the petitioner. Hence, no ground for the grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner is made out.

The petition is dismissed.
