Tribhuvan Dahiya, J (Oral) This petition has been filed seeking a writ of mandamus directing the official respondents not to replace the petitioner (contractual employee) by another contractual employee, in terms of the Supreme Court judgment in Hargurpratap Singh vs. State of Punjab & others, 2007(13) SCC 292.

Learned State counsel has referred to short reply dated 17.08.2023 filed by way of affidavit of respondent No.3-Executive Engineer, Provincial Division No.1, PWD (B&R), Branch Sonepat, which is to the effect: "It is specifically denied that the respondent No.3 wants to terminate the services of the petitioner or want to replace the petitioner by his own person."
