Learned State counsel, on instructions from Mr. Lakhwinder Singh Kaler, Block Development and Panchayat Officer, Phagwara, submits that the allegations regarding illegal possession of panchayat land made against respondents No.7 and 8 were duly examined by the District Revenue Authorities, who carried out demarcation of the area in question. It is further submitted that upon such demarcation, respondents No.7 and 8 were not found to be in unauthorized possession of any panchayat land. Rather, Sh. Gagan s/o Sh. Ganga Ram, Sh. Janak Raj s/o Sh. Mela Ram, and Sh. Parminder Singh s/o Sh. Makhan Singh were found to be in unauthorized possession, against whom eviction proceedings were initiated and eviction orders have also been passed. However, it is stated that appeals filed by the said persons are presently pending consideration before the competent Appellate Authority.

In view of the above, learned counsel for the petitioner seeks withdrawal of the instant writ petition.

Keeping in view the aforesaid submission made by learned counsel for the petitioner, the present writ petition is dismissed as withdrawn.
