"#  $ Report dated 23.12.2014 of learned Judicial Magistrate 1st Class, Amritsar has been received whereby after recording statements of complainant Harpreet Kaur and the accused Baljit Singh, the Court has shown its satisfaction that the compromise has been arrived at voluntarily, out of free will of the parties, without any undue influence, coercion or pressure.

   In the light of satisfaction shown by the Court and the fact that this compromise will go a long way in ironing out this matrimonial dispute between the parties and being young would be conducive for betterment of their future life together with the fact that the offences for which the accused has been hauled up are not of serious nature, the prayer made in the petition is allowed, proceedings by way of FIR No.205 dated 27.09.2013 registered at Police Station Cantonment, Tehsil and District Amritsar City under Sections 4989A, 406 IPC and all consequences arising thereof are quashed.

The petition stands allowed in those terms.
