(Oral) In the present petition, petitioner is seeking direction to respondent No. 1 to 4 to decide her representation (P-11 and P-12) for conducting elections of vacant post of Sarpanch of village Gehri Buttar, District Bathinda, as per provisions of Section 22 of the Punjab Panchayati Raj Act, 1994 (for short 'Act 1994').

Learned State counsel has informed the Court that Mr. Dharampal Sharma, BDPO, Sangat vide letter dated 19.04.2022 has informed DDPO Bathinda that in a meeting held on 19.04.2022, Smt. Ranjit Kaurt has been selected as an authorised Panch. She further states that after appointment of the State Election Commissioner, the State will now issue notification under Section 209 of Act 1994 and thereafter the date of election will be fixed in due course.

In view of the above, no further orders are required to be passed in the present petition.

Disposed of.
