(ORAL) The petitioner herein seeks the quashing of the FIR bearing No.148 dated 23.08.2020 as registered at Police Station City, Dhuri under Section 420 IPC and all the subsequent proceedings arising therefrom, while averring that the parties have arrived at a compromise (Annexure P-2) in the said case.

Ms. Samina Dhir, learned Deputy Advocate General, Punjab, has joined the proceedings in pursuance of the copy of this petition having been sent to the respondent-State in advance. She, on the instructions from HC Hardeep Singh, PS City, Dhuri, submits that a cancellation report is being prepared in the subject FIR and is going to be presented in the Lok Adalat scheduled to be held on 10.07.2021.
