Prayer in the instant petition under Section 439 Cr.P.C. is for grant of regular bail to the petitioner in case FIR No. 0166 dated 10.05.2017 registered under Section 379(B) read with Section 34 IPC at Police Station Sadar, Ballabgarh, District Faridabad.

Allegations against the petitioner are that around 9.30/10.00 A.M., on 10.05.2017, he along with his co-accused, Govind had snatched the bag of complainant-Rakesh Kumar Sharma, containing ` 62,700/- by throwing red chilly powder in his eyes.

Learned counsel contends that the petitioner was not named in the FIR. He has been implicated in the present case, on the basis of disclosure statement suffered by co-accused-Govind, who was arrested on the same day and the alleged bag was also recovered from him. The main accused-Govind has already been released on bail by the Justice Juvenile Board, Faridabad.

Considering the seriousness of the allegations against the petitioner and the fact that such type of offences have increased manifolds in the recent past, this Court is of the considered opinion that the petitioner does not deserve the concession of regular bail. Accordingly, the instant petition is dismissed.
