The present contempt petition has been filed for deliberate and intentional disobedience of order dated 02.12.2025 passed by this Court in CWP-35818-2025, whereby the respondents were directed to consider claim of the petitioner and pass an appropriate order. 2.

On asking of the Court, Mr. Animesh Sharma, Addl. Advocate General, Punjab, accepts notice on behalf of the respondent. 4.

In compliance of order dated 02.12.2025 passed by this Court in CWP-35818-2025, learned counsel for the respondent has produced a copy of speaking order dated 24.02.2026 passed by the Commissioner of Police, VIRENDRA SINGH ADHIKARI 2026.03.17 18:17 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

COCP-1152-2026 (O&M) -2Jalandhar. The same is taken on record. A copy thereof has been given to learned counsel for the petitioner.

A perusal of the said speaking order shows that order dated 02.12.2025 passed by this Court in CWP-35818-2025 has been complied with.

In view of the above, since order dated 02.12.2025 passed by this Court in CWP-35818-2025, has been complied with, therefore, the present contempt is purged and rule stands discharged. 7.

Needless to say that the petitioner is at liberty to avail remedy as is available to him in accordance with law to challenge the aforesaid speaking order dated 24.02.2026 passed by the Commissioner of Police, Jalandhar.
