IN THE HIGH COURT OF PUNJAB AND HARYANA

AT CHANDIGARH CRM-M-28940 of 2017 Date of Decision: 09.08.2017 Ashok Kumar ....Petitioner

Versus

State of Punjab and others ....Respondents CORAM: HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE RAMENDRA JAIN Present: - Mr. Manoj K. Sharma, Advocate, for the petitioner. RAMENDRA JAIN, J. (ORAL) Through this petition under Section 482 Cr.P.C., prayer has been made for directing respondent No.2 to protect the life and liberty of the petitioner from the hands of respondent No.3. Learned counsel for the petitioner contends that the purpose would be achieved if respondent No.2 is directed to decide his representation dated 14.07.2017 (Annexure P-5) and reminder thereto dated 03.08.2017 (Annexure P-6) in a time-bound manner. Having heard learned counsel for the petitioner and after perusing the paper-book, however, without commenting on merits of the case, instant petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.

2 - Senior Superintendent of Police, Hoshiarpur, to decide the representation dated 14.07.2017 (Annexure P-5) and reminder thereto dated 03.08.2017 (Annexure P-6) within a period of one month from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order by passing a speaking order after affording an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner.
