(ORAL) Present petition is filed praying for quashing FIR No.35 dated 22.05.2017, under Sections 452, 323, 506 and 148 read with Section 149 IPC, registered at Police Station Mulepur, District Fatehgarh Sahib, on the basis of compromise entered into between the parties. 2.

Both the parties were directed by this Court vide order dated 09.08.2017 to appear before the learned trial Court and get their statements recorded and in pursuance thereof, learned Judicial Magistrate Naresh Kumar 2018.01.15 16:29 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document Chandigarh
CRM-M-28983-2017 -21st Class, Fatehgarh Sahib, recorded the statements of both the parties and submitted a report dated 05.09.2017. A perusal of the report reveals that the compromise entered into between the parties is genuine, voluntarily, without any threat, coercion or undue influence. 4.
Inasmuch as the dispute between the parties has been amicably settled and they have already entered into compromise, continuance of the prosecution would be an exercise in futility. Therefore, the aforesaid FIR and all consequent proceedings resulting therefrom are quashed.

Petition is allowed.
