RAMENDRA JAIN, J. (ORAL) Through this petition under Section 439 Cr.P.C. prayer has been made for grant of regular bail to petitioner - Jagjit Singh alias Laddi in a case arising from FIR No.72 dated 08.05.2018 registered under Sections 379A, 379B and 411 IPC at Police Station City Kotakpura, District Faridkot.

According to the prosecution, on 08.05.2018, petitioner along with his co-accused, namely, Sukhdev Singh alias Sukha snatched the bag of the complainant containing `10,000/-, Aadhaar and ATM cards of Punjab & Sind Bank.

Learned counsel for the petitioner inter alia contends that petitioner was not apprehended at the spot. He has been arrested on the basis of supplementary statement of the complainant on 11.05.2018. Petitioner is not booked in any other case. Conclusion of trial may take a long time.

Considering overall facts and circumstances, but without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, the petition is allowed. Consequently, petitioner is ordered to be released on bail, on his furnishing bail bonds and surety bonds to the satisfaction of Trial Court/Duty Magistrate concerned.
