(the aforesaid presence is being recorded through video conferencing since the proceedings are being conducted in Virtual Court) ***** GURVINDER SINGH GILL, J.(Oral) Rupinder Kaur aged 18 years and Balraj Singh aged 19 1⁄2 years have approached this Court seeking protection of their lives as they apprehend threat to the same, being in a 'live-in' relationship against the wishes of their parents.

The petitioners have already made representation dated 14.6.2020 (Annexure P-3) to the police.

At this stage, Ms. Nisha, Advocate has put in appearance on behalf of respondents No.4 and 5 and has requested for meeting with their daughter. However, since the proceedings are conducted in virtual Court as such meeting is not possible. However, respondents No.4 and 5 are advised not to cause any harm to the petitioners.

( 2 ) CRWP-3902-2020 (O&M) While refraining from making any expression as regards the veracity of the averments made in the petition, the petition is disposed of with a direction to Commissioner of Police, Amritsar (respondent No.2) to get the alleged threat perception of the petitioners examined expeditiously, in accordance with law and necessary steps as may be warranted under the facts and circumstances of the case be taken thereupon forthwith. A copy of this order be sent to Commissioner of Police, Amritsar (respondent No.2), so as to enable him to do the needful expeditiously.
