The present petition has been preferred for quashing of FIR No.80 dated 30.04.2018 registered under Section 376 of the Indian Penal Code 1860 and Section 3(1)(x) of the Scheduled Castes and the Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989, at Police Station City Phase-1, District SAS Nagar (Annexure P-1) along with subsequent proceedings arising therefrom on the basis of the compromise dated 26.06.2018 (Annexure P-2).

Learned State counsel, on instructions from ASI Amarjit Singh, has submitted that after investigation, cancellation report was filed before the Illaqa Magistrate and the same was accepted in the Lok Adalat.
