The petitioner is seeking a direction to respondent No.1 to protect his life and liberty as well as to save his livestock, which is stated to have been taken away by respondents No. 2 to 5. Learned counsel for the petitioner, at the outset, contended that earlier also, the petitioner has filed a petition under Section 482 Cr.P.C. i.e. CRM-M-39770-2017, which was disposed of on 25.10.2017 by the coordinate Bench of this Court. However, in that case, directions were issued to the Senior Superintendent of Police, Tarn Taran, whereas the required action is to be taken by the Commissioner of Police, Amritsar. Learned counsel for the petitioner has also drawn attention of this Court to the representation sent to respondent No.1 in this regard on 18.09.2017 (Annexure P6) but no action has been taken thereon. Without making any observations on the merits of the case, the petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.1-Commissioner of Police, Amritsar to look into the representation, filed by the petitioner on 18.09.2017 (Annexure P6) and take required action, if any, in accordance with law.
