LISA GILL, J. (Oral) The petitioners seek the concession of anticipatory bail in FIR No. 71 dated 10.06.2017 under Sections 498-A, 420 & 34 IPC registered at Police Station Sadar, Nawanshahar, District S.B.S. Nagar. It is submitted that during the pendency of this petition the matter has been resolved between the parties. A petition under Section 13-B of the Hindu Marriage Act, 1955 has been filed by the son of the petitioners and his wife i.e. the complainant's daughter. Part of the settled amount has been handed over to their daughter-in-law. The petitioners and their son undertake to abide by the terms and conditions of the settlement arrived at between the parties. Moreover, they have joined investigation. Therefore, this petition be allowed.

Crl. Misc. No. M-29128 of 2017 [ 2 ] Learned counsel for the complainant verifies and affirms the factum of settlement between the parties as well as filing of the petition under Section 13-B of the Hindu Marriage Act, 1955. It is stated that the complainant has no objection in case this petition is allowed subject to the petitioners and their son strictly adhering to the terms and conditions of the settlement.
Learned counsel for the State, on instructions from ASI Darbara Singh, Police Station Sadar, Nawanshahar, also verifies the settlement between the parties.
Keeping in view the facts and circumstances of the case but without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, it is considered just and expedient to allow this petition.
Consequently, in the event of arrest of the petitioners, they be released on bail to the satisfaction of the Arresting/investigating Officer. The petitioners shall join investigation as and when called upon to do so. Petitioners shall comply with the conditions stipulated in Section 438 (2) Cr.P.C.
