The prayer made in the present petition is for directing the respondent to grant 5 additional marks for socio-economic criteria to the petitioner, so that his total comes out to be more than the cutoff for EWS category. 2.

Pertinently, as per para Nos.4 and 5 of the reply dated 18.09.2020 filed by the Haryana Staff Selection Commission, the marks of the petitioner are 57, which include 5 granted for socio-economic criteria, whereas the last selected candidate in the EWS category secured 60 marks. 3.

Learned counsel for the petitioner having been unable to controvert the aforesaid, the present petition fails and is accordingly dismissed.
